Medical Wing was established with establishment of IESSI. This wing deals with Health Services, Medical Reimbursements and other social services for secured workers/dependants working in establishments and industrial units functioning in ICT area. Due to non availability of own health care centers, the department is relying on panel hospitals/dispensaries.

Recovery Wing have registered 1588 establishments so far. More than 500 millions is being collected as monthly contribution which is the only source of income of the institution.

Data Centre was established to maintain computerized record of registered workers with IESSI. Data Centre is responsible for issuing Computerized Medical Cards to the secured workers so they can avail medical facilities provided by IESSI through prescribed medical units.

Benefits & Services

Sickness Benefit

Contribution for at least 90 days paid. No benefit is paid for first two days being waiting days. If 2nd sick leave is availed within fifteen days of the 1st leave then no waiting days for the second sick leave. During leave no other cash benefit is received by the sick secured worker.

Injury to a secured person caused by an accident or by occupational disease arising out of and in the course of employment. During injury no other cash benefit is received by the secured worker.

If 180 days contribution is paid during the twelve calendar months preceding the expected of her confinement.

Disablement Gratuity

The degree of disablement assessed from 1% to 20% is calculated at 100% of the daily rate of wages multiplied with 910 & degree of disablement divided by 67.

The degree of disability is assessed from 21% to 66% is calculated at 100% of the daily wages multiplied with 30 and degree of disablement and divided by 67.
